This year we have so much to be thankful for!! Happy Thanksgiving from the Hoscheks!
We are so thankful for these boys:
We started off the holiday weekend by visiting the library to get some books and a video. Since we are planning Teddy's birthday party, and he wants a Winnie the Pooh party, we checked out several Pooh books and a movie.
Movie/popcorn night with our fancy TV:
(Shae has to hook it up through our laptop since our dvd player no longer works)
Thanksgiving morning Shae and Teddy went for a canoe ride on Martin Lake while Leo and I enjoyed a long walk.
This little turkey was excited for his first Thanksgiving:
And this big turkey was excited to play with cousin Violet:
The kid's table:
My dad's 70th birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year. So appropriate since we are so grateful he is such a young 70. When I told Teddy, "Today is Grandpa's real birthday" (since we just celebrated it with the big party a few weeks ago) he replied excitedly, "Grandpa has TWO real birthdays?!"
My mom didn't have a 7 candle, but she had a 4, 2, and 1 which add up to 7...
Leo enjoying the festive excitement:
Leo is getting bigger... maybe he is ready for the bumbo?
Maybe not quite yet:
My Aunt Terry and Uncle Dale sent us this adorable blanket and teddy bear for Leo:
We got this onsie from our Dr. at Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine. Can't think of much better advertisement for them than this little guy:
And I was SO excited that Leo now fits into the infamous cowboy monkey outfit!!!
Yehaw!
I also broke out this shirt yesterday (it says: beware, I am teething). Not only does it fit him now, but we think it may be appropriate. Leo has been shoving his entire hand in his mouth, he has been drooling all of the sudden, and has been fussy when trying to eat. And it looks like his bottom gums are swollen. Teething is not fun!
Grandma Judy gave us these fun Chanukah decorations. Teddy had a blast putting them up:
Our friend and neighbor Nicole had a teddy bear picnic birthday party on Saturday and the boys were told to bring their favorite teddy bears. Leo was excited:
Teddy's favorite part of the party...
The chocolate bear he got!
My college friend Courtney and her children stopped by for a quick visit as they were driving through town from Floriday to Nashville. Teddy was so thrilled to play with them again!
Since we didn't host Thanksgiving dinner this year, we didn't have some of our traditional favorites, nor did we have any leftovers. So we decided to have our own mini Thanksgiving lunch on Sunday. Here is Shae enjoying mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and mac and cheese. The pumpkin pie and chocolate ice cream he made were amazing too!
We hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. We are so grateful for all of our blessings. Especially these two guys:
