Leo is already four months old!! He is smiling and coo-ing all the time. At his four month check up, he weighed in at 16.1 lbs and was 25 inches long. This is about the 75th percentile in weight (down from the 95th) and around 50th percentile in height (up from the 25th).
Leo is doing great and thriving. Dr. Eaton said although he hasn't yet rolled over "it is harder for babies of larger girth" she did note, "he blew me away with the social and verbal part of the screening." He coo-ed and coo-ed at her. She then proceeded to take him to the nurse's station in only his diaper to show off his adorable-ness. He continues to grow more alert every day and is very interested in the world around him. He loves to watch his big brother and smiles at him often. We have also discovered he is very ticklish under his chin and he has started laughing!
As I tried to capture a smile, I got this profile shot (you can really admire his cheeks from this angle):
I also really wanted to capture a picture that would show off all of his juicy rolls! Check out these thighs:
So we have been busy around our house. Shae and Teddy recently got busy planting in the garden:
Flashdance baby has been showing off his new legwarmers.... have I mentioned how much I love legwarmers????
And I have been busy making cake pops. These santa hats and snowmen were for my friend's annual Christmas Dessert party:
Brothers hanging out:
I started looking at pictures of Teddy at four months, just to see how similar the two boys look, and I realized at 4 months Teddy was already using all sorts of our toys. So I was excited to break them out again. First the exersaucer (sorry I can't figure out how to rotate the picture now):
the boucy thing (I got to cook dinner while he played in this for over 30 minutes!!! Yahoo)
And even one new thing we didn't have for Teddy. The bumbo:
OK Teddy, I guess you can check out what you were missing:
(it actually fits his thighs a lot better than Leo's at this point).
And one last shot of our 4 month old. We love Leo, and we're not lion:
So thankful for both of our healthy boys!
